Day 1. Fly to Managua
Fly from London to Managua on the daytime flight. Met on arrival and transfer (1hr) to Granada and the Hotel La Gran Francia for 3 nights in a junior suite on a b&b basis.
Day 2-3. In Granada
2 days free for personal exploration. Granada is the oldest colonial city on the continent and has a variety of attractions, we would recommend: a half day guided city tour, boat trip on Lake Nicaragua, jeep trip to visit Mombacho Volcano and Masaya market.
Day 4. To Matagalpa
Met in the morning and transfer (3hrs) to Matagalpa and the Selva Negra lodge for 3 nights on a half board basis.
Day 5-6. In Matagalpa
2 days free for personal exploration. A mountainous and remote area that offers great hiking and horse riding opportunities through cloudforest and coffee plantations that can be arranged locally.
Day 7. To Leon
Met for your morning transfer (2 hrs) to Leon and the El Convento hotel for 2 nights on a b&b basis.
Day 8. In Leon
Free day for personal exploration. Leon is charming and relaxing, alternatively we recommend a trek up the nearby Cerro Negro volcano or a trip to the Atlantic beaches of Las Peņitas just 11km away.
Day 9. Fly to Corn Island
Met in the morning for your transfer (1hr) to Managua airport and fly to Big Corn Island, depart arrive. Met on arrival and transfer to Hotel Casa Canada for 5 nights on a b&b basis.
Day 10-13. On Corn Island
4 days free for personal exploration. Big Corn Island has a number of pristine beaches, superb snorkelling and diving opportunities that can be arranged and paid for locally as well as a trip to Little Corn Island. There are also mountain bikes and sea kayaks for hire.
Day 14. Fly London
Met and transfer to the airport for your flight to Managua. Met on arrival and transferred to the international terminal for your connecting overnight flight to London arriving day 15.
As a guideline, the itinerary outlined above would cost approximately Ģ1,968 per person and includes all activities on a private basis unless stated, private transfers, internal flights, accommodation and taxes and meals where mentioned.
In addition the cost of your international flights from London will be from Ģ650 per person.
