Day 1. Fly to Guatemala City
Fly on the overnight flight from London to Guatemala City.
Day 2. In Antigua
Met on arrival and transfer (1hr) to Antigua and the Casa Encantada for 3 nights in a deluxe room on a b&b basis.
Day 3-4. in Antigua
Met in the morning for your half day guided tour of beautiful Antigua on foot. The rest of the day is free to soak up the atmosphere of this UNESCO world heritage town.
In Antigua. The town itself is a beautiful place to explore and relax. Alternatively there are a number of optional excursions to explore the valley, climb a volcano or visit a Mayan market.
Day 5. Lake Atitlan
Met after lunch and transfer (3hrs) to Lake Atitlán. The drive has beautiful mountain scenery along the way. At the Hotel Casa Palopó for 2 nights in a deluxe room on a b&b basis.
Day 6. Lake Atitlan
Often described as ‘the most beautiful lake in the world’, Lake Atitlán is stunning. Met for your guided day boat trip around the lake visiting the towns of Santiago with its curious Maximon shrine and Santa Catarina with its striking purple local costume.
Day 7. Tikal
Met for your early morning transfer (2 hrs) to Guatemala City airport and flight north to Flores, depart 09:55 arrive 10:55. Met on arrival and transfer (1hr) to Tikal and the Jungle Lodge hotel for 2 nights on a b&b basis. The afternoon is free to explore the ruins which are within easy walking distance of your hotel.
Day 8. Tikal to San Pedro
In Tikal. Met for your morning half day guided tour of the ruins. The afternoon is free to further explore the site and surrounding jungle. We suggest experiencing the sunset from temple 4.
Met and transfer to Flores airport for your flight to Ambergris Caye via Belize City, depart 09:50 arrive 11:55. Met on arrival and transfer to Mata Chica Beach Resort for 4 nights in a sea breeze bungalow on a b&b basis. Free afternoon.
Day 9-11. On San Pedro
On Ambergris Caye. 3 days to explore the island and its surrounding reefs. We would suggest snorkelling in the sting ray alley and Hol Chan Marine Park, a trip to Goff’s Caye and diving in the famous Blue Hole.
Day 12. Fly London
Met and transfer to San Pedro airport for your flight to Belize City, met and transfer to Belize International Airport for your overnight flight to London arriving day 13.
As a guideline, the itinerary outlined above would cost approximately £1,912 per person and includes all activities on a private basis unless stated, private transfers, internal flights, accommodation and taxes and meals where mentioned.
In addition the cost of your international flights from London will be approximately £650 per person, including taxes.
